About

DIG was established to preserve, compound, and responsibly diversify family capital.

Origins

Originally built upon wealth created through long-term real estate investments in Greece, DIG was founded to develop a second pillar of capital allocation focused on the global mining industry.

Today, DIG specializes primarily in precious metals, base metals, critical minerals, and royalty companies.

Perspective

Cycles reward emotional discipline.

In a cyclical industry, following the crowd can become a liability.

After more than a decade of studying and investing in the natural resources sector, one principle has remained constant: commodity markets are inherently cyclical. Success requires emotional discipline, patience, and a willingness to think independently when market sentiment becomes extreme.

We believe that in resource investing, investors must be prepared to take a contrarian stance when fundamentals justify it. Following the crowd is rarely rewarded over a full commodity cycle.

We invest where value can be estimated, not assumed.

Founders

Haris Katsarakis

DIG was founded by Haris Katsarakis, a Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineer with more than a decade of experience studying and investing in the natural resources sector. His approach to investing is shaped by analytical thinking, probability, and disciplined decision-making.

His work is dedicated to understanding the value of businesses operating across the global natural resources sector and allocating family capital where the relationship between price and intrinsic value offers an attractive long-term opportunity.

Nikolas Katsarakis

Nikolas Katsarakis is a Civil Engineer, entrepreneur, and investor with 30+ years of experience developing businesses and allocating family capital. His work has spanned construction, real estate, natural resources, shipping, pharmaceuticals, and financial institutions.

His approach is characterized by independent and often contrarian thinking, a willingness to recognize opportunities early, and the patience to allow an investment thesis to develop over time. He has played a central role in developing the family's core assets and remains an important mentor and source of perspective within DIG.
